This Privacy Policy explains the data collection and use practices which are operated by Telescope Inc. (“Telescope”).  Telescope is committed to protecting the privacy of your information.  The objective of this Privacy Policy is to disclose and explain what information we collect, use, and share.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

Telescope offers a variety of services, including voting services for television programs, that are collectively referred to as the “Service”.  We gather certain personally identifiable information that you provide to us when accessing a Service.  When you use a Service, we may require you to provide “contact information”, such as name, address, email address and phone number, and “financial information” such as credit card numbers, bank account information and mobile phone number (collectively “personal information”).

As you use the Services, Telescope may also track and aggregate non-personally identifiable information about you, for example your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address to determine whether you are in a region that is eligible to vote.  We may also share this information with third parties which incorporate the Services being used, for example the companies associated with the television program you cast your vote with. We do not link this data with any personal information so you will remain anonymous to us.

By voluntarily submitting your personal information to us, you consent that we may collect, use and share your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.   Telescope will not use your personal information submitted for any other purpose but to provide the Service requested, unless you opt-in to any other use.  We may share your personal information with the companies that assist us with the Service, for example the operational service providers.  These companies may need information about you in order to perform their functions.  For example, we may share your personal information with your mobile phone service provider, phone company, credit card company or PayPal to secure collection of Service fees or operate the Service.  These companies are not authorized to use the information we share with them for any other purpose.

While using the Services, you may be directed to a third party site, for example to pay for a Service via Paypal, which may take you to Paypal’s site or to login to your Facebook account which may take you to Facebook’s site.  Once you’ve left this site, you will be subject to that site’s Privacy Policy (and other terms and conditions of use), and you should review it to determine how your data will be used.  In other words this Privacy Policy will no longer apply to Personal Information or any other data collected from or provided by you.

We will not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.  Telescope will store your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service or as otherwise required or permitted by law.

LIMITED DISCLOSURES

We may disclose your personal information to (1) our employees and contractors only to the extent necessary to provide the Service; (2) comply with laws and regulations, including for example compliance with a court order or subpoena; (3) enforce our Terms and Conditions and Service rules (e.g. for contests, sweepstakes, promotions and games); (4) protect your safety and security and/or the safety and security of Telescope, our employees and property that belongs to Telescope or third parties and (5) those involved in a transfer of all or part of Telescope’s assets or business.

OPT IN

Telescope may offer you an opportunity to “opt-in” to receive marketing information from Telescope and/or its partners.  This “opt-in” will require a response by you to signify your consent to receive additional information from Telescope and/or its partners.  For example, if you are using the internet to access the Service, you may be asked to check a box to “opt-in” or if accessing via your mobile phone, by texting YES to a designated short code.

We take your privacy and data security very seriously and strive to maintain the security of all personal information voluntarily provided by you. We maintain appropriate physical, technical and administrative safeguards to protect against unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure of personal information in our custody and control. However no website or transmission of information over the internet or common carrier lines is guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data losses or other breaches will never occur and accordingly any transmission of information by you is done at your own risk.
