Telescope and FOX Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with “The Simpsons” Out of Home Interactive Promotion

Telescope has partnered with Fox Broadcasting Company to help “The Simpsons” light up New York’s Times Square onTuesday, March 17 with an audio-visual sneak peek of the all-new St. Patrick’s Daythemed episode and a special “Simpsons” musical number on Times Square’s famed Astrovision. Every hour, on the hour, from 9:00 AM to Midnight ET (excluding the 7:00 PM hour),visitors to Times Square will be treated to an exclusive clip of “The Simpsons.”
Thebillboard will feature a toll-free number, powered by Telescope, which transforms thefamed Astrovision screen into an interactive viewer experience that allows passersby tolisten to the audio in sync.

In “The Simpsons” episode titled “In the Name of the Grandfather,” airing Sunday, March22 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX, the Simpson family travels to Ireland so Grampa canhave one last pint at his beloved O’Flanagan’s Pub in Dunkilderry. But his hometownisn’t the quaint little Irish village that Grampa remembers; it has become a gentrifiedyuppie enclave filled with hipsters, Bluetooths and swanky coffee shops. After a fewspirits at the rundown and empty O’Flanagan’s Pub, Homer and Grampa buy theestablishment from owner Tom O’Flanagan (guest voice Colm Meaney) and enlist Moe’shelp to bring the newly minted Simpson & Son pub back to life.
